Project Controls Specialist (Contract)
We are looking for an experienced project controls specialist to join our team in Edmonton, Alberta. The successful candidate will work with a client to help plan and execute successful projects within their portfolio.
Responsibilities:

Developing an enterprise project structure and work breakdown structure

Planning and scheduling project activities

Engaging stakeholders in the planning process to develop collaborative plans

Identifying areas of performance optimization and bringing these forward to the project team

Monitoring project performance and producing performance reports for the management team

Forecasting project outcomes and suggesting mitigation strategies to manage risks of cost or schedule overruns
Skills and Expertise

5+ years of experience in project controls, including planning, scheduling, estimating, and cost management

Experience in various stages of the project lifecycle, including engineering, procurement, and construction

A minimum of 3 years site-based experience

Understanding of Lean and Advanced Work Packaging best practices

A degree or diploma in a relevant field is an asset

Experience in the electrical field is an asset (electrical engineering graduate, electrical engineering technologist, electrician)
